SAVING SIGHT IN INDIA

India has the largest number of blind people in the world with about 15 million said to be blind.  Every year 3 million people develop cataracts in the eyes.

Although many plans are in hand to prevent and cure blindness lack of affordable eye care remains the main cause of blindness.  It is also thought that many sufferers were not aware that their condition was curable.
